Best Time to Visit
Loch Katrine is a year-round destination, but for swimming, the summer months (June to September) offer the most manageable water temperatures. However, this is also peak tourist season. To experience the magic of the loch without the crowds or heavy boat traffic, try an early morning swim before the first sailing of the Sir Walter Scott.
Getting There
To Trossachs Pier (East End): Located just off the A821. It is well-signposted from Callander or Aberfoyle. The drive takes you over the scenic Duke’s Pass.
